If you’re looking for a toddler/kid friendly resort definitely look into this All Inclusive Hotel. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. I'm there to relax and enjoy the weather. When i'm on vacation i don't sweat the small stuff even some the big stuff. Summary: I've noticed that at any resort you can FIND something to complain about if you look hard enough and it's sad that some people leave to go on vacation to do just that. The Scores sports-bar is great for watching Hockey games if you're into that and playing pool or baby-foot. Lots of available cardio and resistance training machines. Other: We used the gym daily around 6-7pm and it was very functional. I've had the same issue at many resorts in PC. Yes they are on the humid side but you are in the Dominican Republic. Our room was always cleaned in a timely fashion. The mini-bar service was amazing as were the maids. We had a king bed and my daughter had the sofa bed. Rooms: The rooms are modern, spacious and comfortable. Lower than that and they can be a touch chilly. The pools were always clean but can be a touch on the cold side depending on the day. The other days were fine and we even took advantage of free the water-sport offerings which were lots of fun. 2 out of our 13 days we were not permitted to go in because it was too rough. The waves can be rough depending on the day. We also ordered room-service twice and it was quick and yummy.īeach/Pools: The beach is beautiful and clean. She also loved the Ice-Cream shop and especially loved the Bluewater Grill when the whole staff brought her out a cake and sang happy-birthday to her. My daughter swears Onyx has the best pancakes in the world. Surprisingly It's actually the first time i travel and don't get "travelers tummy". Ordering the same thing twice doesn't always give similar results or what is described in the menu but it was always amazing and we were never ever hungry. My one complaint with Onyx and almost every resort I've been to in PC is consistency. There was never a dull moment during the day and evening entertainment.įood: Being there 2 weeks we tried all the restaurants multiple times and also got to try a few restaurants at Breathless and even at Dream using the Sip-and-Savor option offered by AM Resorts. The entertainment staff of Max, Alonso, Carlos, Lil-Wayne all worked super hard to keep us entertained. ![]() Jenny and all the staff at the preferred club beach area were outstanding constantly checking on us.The staff in the ice-cream shop. Our daughter fell in love with Julia(Roberts) the waitress by the main pool who always made us smile, Rigoalberto and Michelina at the preferred club family pool took the utmost care of us. Staff: Besides Miguel the rest of the staff was amazing as-well. We especially liked the quite preferred club family pool at times and the lounge. The rest of the preferred club amenities were also great. It's a really nice personal touch over Dreams in my opinion. Miguel was constantly in contact asking how our stay was and if he could assist in anyway. ![]() Our butler Miguel was absolutely amazing and if we visit again i would insist on him being our butler again. Preferred Club / Butler: For those who don't know, if you're part of the preferred club you get a butler assigned to you on arrival which you can communicate your requests to via WiFi on the resort using WhatsApp. We were treated very well upon arrival and immediately felt like we were at home. We would normally go to Dreams PC next door during spring break but this year we decided to try something new as we were celebrating my 40th birthday and my daughters 11th. Let me start by saying I've been a loyal AM Resort client for many years and have been to many of the Dreams, Secrets, Sunscape and Now resorts. In my opinion they MAKE this resort roll. Intro: We spent 2 fabulous weeks at Onyx from Feb 28-Mar 13 which gave us plenty of time to really experience the resort and meet some great staff members. The Westin Reserva Conchal, an All-Inclusive Golf Resort & Spa. ![]()
